Justine is a freelance editor who specializes in working with small presses in the United States and Canada. Her clients include Durvile & UpRoute Books, Eye of Newt Books, Formac Publishing, Guernica Editions, Inner Traditions, North Atlantic Books, University of Ottawa Press, and Verso Books.

In addition to her work in the fast-paced world of publishing, she also takes great pleasure in working directly with authors and helping them to polish their writing for submission, whether that means offering guidance on a short academic article or a full-length novel manuscript. Some of Justine’s areas of greatest interest include spiritual and self-help writing, memoir and creative nonfiction, speculative fiction, and children’s and young adult fiction.

“Justine is an enthusiastic and sensitive reader who’s alert to possibilities and diplomatic but honest about missteps. She pointed my story in a direction that turned out to be incredibly fruitful and offered a helpful sounding board for ideas and rewrites. I would absolutely recommend her editing services and hope to use them again!”
